Robin Hornstein is a psychologist in private practice in downtown Philadelphia and the Main Line. 610-617-1088 Option 1
I have worked in the mental health field for over 23 years, prior to that I was a teacher. As a psychologist, I have several areas that I specialize in including Disordered Eating, Infertility, Parenting, Post Traumatic Stress, LGBT Issues, Women's Issues and Grief. I like to think of myself as a helper who gives honest, challenging feedback, and as one who hopes that you learn to like yourself, for all your flaws, and your unique qualities. I think one thing most of us can share is humor, and laughing at oneself, not in a mean spirited way, is always a part of the work I do with people.
How do you decide if therapy is a good option for you?
If you are feeling alone, fearful, ashamed, depressed, angry, stuck, confused, anxious or worried or if you can't stop self-defeating behaviors, therapy may indeed be a good option for you.
Why choose me as your therapist?
Good therapy is all about a strong working relationship. As your therapist I am a mirror, a witness, and a guide, but the expert on you is always you. I provide you a safe, warm, non-judgmental environment in which I offer honest feedback and support as you tell your stories. Through speaking your life experiences, you learn that you are not alone and begin to value your uniqueness. Together we work towards designing and developing new chapters in your life story.
